Lesson 2 - Bold, Italic, and Monospace

Bold

You can create bold text with double asterisks surrounding the text, like so: bold text.

Italic

You can create italic text with single asterisks: italic text.

Monospace

Monospace text can be created in two ways. First, in the flow of a paragraph, you can surround text with single backticks: monospace text.

Or, as standalone block, you put a line of 3 backticks before and after the piece of text you want in monospace:

This is a larger block of monospace text.
It can use multiple lines.
